Wonderful Water Party

Splash into an aquatic adventure like no other as we invite you to join us for a splashtastic celebration! Get ready for our water-themed party, where the wonders of the deep blue inspire every aspect of our festivities. From the shimmering decorations that mimic the ocean's depths to the exciting games that bring waves of laughter, this party promises to be a whirlpool of fun and excitement for all.

Decorations: Think blue, blue blue!

1. Blue Color Scheme: Decorate the party area with various shades of blue to mimic water. Hang blue streamers, balloons, and tablecloths.

2. Hang Raindrop Streamers from a rainbow: these can be handmade with paper and thread or purchased.

3. Rainbows and Clouds qualify too! A rainbow tablecloth is a nice compliment to all of the blue.

Games:

1. Water Balloon Toss: Divide the children into pairs and have them toss water balloons back and forth. The pair that successfully tosses the balloon without breaking it moves on to the next round. Option for reusable water bomb ballons at the end of this blog.

2. Duck, Duck, Splash!: A water-themed twist on the classic game of Duck, Duck, Goose. Everyone has a cup in their hand and the adult organizer of the party provides just a little water for the "it" person's cup when they need it. Instead of tapping heads, the child who is "it" splashes a small amount of water on the chosen player.

3. Sponge Relay Race: Divide the children into teams and have them race to soak up water from a bucket using a sponge and then squeeze it out into another bucket. The team that fills their bucket first wins.

4. Outdoor Sprinkler Fun: Before playing this game, guests should be informed that they may get wet. It is advisable to send them with swimwear or comfortable shorts and T-shirts to change into.

Read Aloud Activity: Read aloud the picture book "The Water Protectors" by Carole Lindstrom. After reading, lead a discussion with the children about the importance of protecting water sources and ways they can help the environment.
