Welcome to the magical world of unicorns, where imagination knows no bounds and every dream takes flight on shimmering wings! Step into a realm where enchantment and wonder collide, as we embark on a whimsical journey through a children's party like no other. In this sparkling celebration, boys and girls alike are invited to join in the fun, as we sprinkle a touch of fairy dust and unleash the magic of unicorns upon our festivities.

Costume: Explore the enchanting world of unicorn accessories with easy-to-make homemade delights fit for adventurers of all genders! For a gender-neutral twist on unicorn headbands, consider crafting your own horn using a ready-made horn that easily attaches to a simple headband, crown, hat, or animal ears headband. And why stop there? Complete your mystical ensemble with a DIY unicorn tail by cutting long rectangles from faux fur fabric and attaching them to a ribbon waistband. With just a few materials and a sprinkle of imagination, you can create these two-piece costumes every child can wear when they arrive. Every guest enjoyed pretending they were a unicorn for the entire afternoon.

Game: The tried and true pin the tail on the donkey is reimagined here as pin the horn on the unicorn. A ready-made poster with unicorn horn stickers makes it easy to include this classic.

Book: To create a respite from the galloping activities, invite children to sit together in a circle while an adult reads and shows the pages of a picture book story. In keeping with this magical horse theme, "The Tiny Weeney Unicorn". This is a sweet story of acceptance with a surprising plot and quality illustrations.

Treat: Unicorn cupcakes. You can use your own recipe or the one I include below, but the ingredient that makes these cupcakes so special for our theme is the marshmallow tops that look like little sleeping unicorns. Watch the video here to see how to make these edible decorations, if you don't have the frosting squeezer, you can just spread the frosting as you normally would and replace the mini flowers with a coconut main and forelock. Either way, the frosting is the glue!

Carrot Cake cupcakes (use butter if you want your cake to be really rich)

1.5 cups sugar

1 cup of salad oil (or 1 cup of melted butter slightly cooled so it doesn't 'cook' the eggs)

4 eggs

1 Tablespoon of Vanilla

2 cups of flour

2 teaspoons of baking powder

2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon

1 -1/2 teaspoons of baking soda

2 cups of shredded carrots

1 can, 8 oz of crushed pineapple or fresh, crushed, about a cup.

Optional, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Use cupcake liners and cupcake tin.

Bake at 350, 45 minutes. check for doneness with a toothpick.

Add cream cheese frosting and the marshmallow unicorn topping.
